Thank You, Doctor Ophelia!

The first book collaboration between Dr. Jill de Villiers of Smith College and I, "Thank You, Doctor Ophelia!" is about a veterinarian who helps animals in a zoo. In addition to teaching a fun lesson about self-acceptance, the book gives children experience with complex sentences that grow their understanding of other’s minds. "Thank You, Doctor Ophelia" has been embraced by the international linguistics community and translated from English into Sesotho, Spanish, French, isiXhosa, Mandarin, Setswana, Shona, Dutch and International Sign Language.
